Top 5 YouTube Beauty Gurus
Do you, like me, LOVE watching vlogs and beauty tutorials on YouTube?? I know there are so many makeup tutorials out there, but I'm just going to tell you the best 5 (in my opinion) if you don't know them already, which your probably do, but anyways...
1.) Michelle Phan - Michellephan
Well... you guys probably already know Michelle Phan, she's possible the biggest and most popular beauty guru on YouTube right now, and I love her tutorials on makeup/hair/skin care because they're really like, clear, and unlike some of the other people on YouTube (they might be mentioned later on in this post) her tutorials aren't live (okay, some are) so you don't sit there for 2 minutes listening to her talk about something random like what she ate for dinner yesterday (or something), it just goes straight into the tutorial. If you watch one of her makeup tutorials you'll know what I mean.I almost forgot!! Michelle also has another charity channel for bloopers and a 'whats in my purse video' called ricebunny.
2.) Blair Fowler - juicystar07
You guys probably know her already, but yeah, I'm going to tell you a little about her YouTube channel(s), Blair has two channels, one of them (juicystar07) is just only basically for her makeup and hair stuff, and her other channel (otherjuicystar07) which like her vlog only, with like, outfit of the day and stuff. The reason she got second place is because that she does what I REALLY hate - talking for ages before a tutorial (sorry Blair), but only on makeup and hair ones. The reason why I like her channel is because she does things like 'what to carry in your school bag', which for me is really helpful. She's really nice, and I know on YouTube there were these videos about how she got a nose job and stuff, but seriously??? Who cares if she did? Oh, and also she had these really adorable dogs!
3.) Lindy Tsang - Bubzbeauty
You guys might know her, and it was just now that i found out her real name is Lindy (I hope its right!!), before I thought it had something to do with Bubbi/Bubz, and I was like O_O!! But, don;t you think that she reminds you of Michelle Phan?? I know in one of her videos she said that it's annoying people comparing her to Michelle, but her videos seriously remind me of Michelle!! Like, they're both filmed and edited, with subtitles at the bottom kinda, and background music. I first found her when I was looking through Michelle's vids and you know at the side, there's links to other videos?? Yeah, I saw Bubbi's school look first. She's also really nice and a actual good person at heart :)
4.) Elle Fowler - allthatglitters21
As you can probably tell, Elle is Blair's (older) sister, and she has a youtube beauty channel as well, she has more videos than Blair because she's been on Youtube longer, and her channel is basically all focused on makeup and hair, but she does have another channel (ellesglittergossip) which is like, more personal things.
Elle and Blair have a online shop thing, where they sell like, brush holders, stuff like that at :GlitzyGlam.
Elle, like Blair talks for ages in a tutorial, so everytime I watch their videos, I always fast forward to about 1 minutes. 5.) Samantha Maria - beautycrush
I really like Sammi because of lots of reasons:
She's from the UK like me, and she's one of the few makeup gurus that I know who are not American (no offence!), and her tutotials are really helpful and she's really funny sometimes!! She doesn't spend ages talking about nothing in her videos...which...is good...(I don't no what to say!!)
Um... I haven't watched a lot of her makeup tutorials, mostly like, 'whats in my bag', and favourites tags. Hey, does anyone else love watching 'what's in my bag' videos??? But, yeah, I really like watching her videos. I'm going to put a link to her other youtube channel: TheSammiMariaShow. She also did some diet and fitness videos which I found really useful .
If you go to her channel, and read her profil, it say she likes Harry Potter!!! You all know I love Harry Potter :)
So these are my favourite You Tube beauty gurus, post a comment telling me yours!!

Revlon Colorstay Under Eye Concealer
This concealer is from the Revlon Colorstay line, and personally I really like Revlon because the products usually work really well.
This concealer has SPF 15 in it so it protects your under eyes from UVA and UVB damage, which is good because you don't really want some heavy sun-screen on your eyes.
I brought the one in medium, and there are two shades, light and medium, which really bugs me because the medium one is actually quite light as well, so if you've got like, olive-y skin or darker, you probably won't be able to use it. It gives a good coverage without feeling heavy or cakey, and it blends really easily as well, using your fingers or a brush will work perfectly.
The only bad thing about it is that - you can probably tell from the picture- it comes in a VERY small package, and I only had it for a month or so, and it's already nearly all used up, so I guess I'll just have to go back to Boots and buy another one :(

Beauty Disasters Solved Instantly!
It's happened to everyone, right? You're going somewhere important, and the night before, your skin looks flawless, but, the next morning, when you wake up, you see a major spot on your chin - it can't be on your forehead where your can just use your fringe to cover it up, NO, it HAS to be on your chin - or, you just got your nails done, and they look fabulous because your just had them painted in that shade of purple you love, you then have to open a bottle, and then you see that one of your nails broke off. Yep. Don't worry. Happens to everyone.
A giant zit is on your chin:
Solution: Don't freak out!! It will only make it worse. First, GENTLY, gently, using two Q-Tips, TRY and squeeze the spot, if it doesn't pop, then leave it, you don't want a scar on your chin as well as a spot now, do you? If is pops, then clean it with a clean Q-Tip, and apply some concealer on it make sure your finger/brush/sponge is clean, you don't want to infect your spot.
If your spot is still there, then put some spot treatment cream on it, and then conceal it - make sure that your finger/brush/sponge is clean. And the hope for the best.
Prevention: We all know that prevention if better than cure, so to make sure that you don't get that much spots (everyone will get spots someday, no one's perfect) wash your face twice a day, try using something that will unblock pores or prevent spots, because the reason your get spots is because of blocks pores. The use anti-spot cream or serum.
Blotchy and streaky Fake Tan:
Solution: If your fake tan hasn't been on for too long, try exfoliating the streaky areas to remove the tan. If that fails, run a warm soapy bath, and rub some lemon on the uneven areas. The acid in the lemon will help left the tan. If all that fails, then use some bronzer to even it out, you'll look very orange, but at least it will be even.
Prevention: Obviously, if you don't want to ever look like an orange ever again, you can stop using fake tan, but if that's too hard for you, then before putting on fake tan, exfoliate, especially your knees and elbows, to make your skin more even. Take your time , don't rush because that will maximize your chances of making it streaky, instead, do thin layers.
Chipped or smudged nails:
Solution: Make sure that you have a bottle of nail varnish the same as the one you have on, and when it smudges, just place a dot of varnish on the smudged area, let it dry and paint all of your nail again the even it out. If you don't have the same color, and your nails are quite long, file your nails so that the smudge/chip is less visible.
Prevention: I know this takes a hell of a long time, but before applying your nail varnish, buff your nails, or use a ridge filling base coat-or any base coat- to even out your nail surface so the varnish would stick better. Then apply 2-3 coats of varnish, make sure it's dry in between. If you really can't wait, then dip your hand into cold water for about ten seconds. Then apply a top coat to seal the varnish. After all that, wait ANOTHER five minutes before you do anything- believe me, your manicure will thank you!!

Hey guys can you please comment on my blog and posts? I want to know what you think and how I can like improve because this is my first blog xx
Beauty Tips EVERY Girl Should Know
Don't we all just love these little tips to save time and money??
Vaseline - Vaseline is one of the most versatile things I've ever known, like, you can use it as a chapstick for dry lips, and you can use it on dry skin as well. If you've ran out of make up remover, you can use vaseline to remove your eye makeup too. If you put vaseline on your lashes, you'll notice that your lashes look subtly thicker, Vaseline also conditions your lashes, making them longer and thicker.
Okay, so you decide to paint your nails, and they look something like the nails in the picture (maybe not so long), but you painted your nails black. You then decide that you want to go natural, and you remove the nail varnish. Yes, all the black is gone, but you notice a horrible stain on your nails that you just can't get rid off. To remove the stain, rub a slice of lemon over your nails, and you'll see that the stain will be gone.
Forgotten your blush?? Dont worry!! Use your lipstick instead. This way, you'll not only have blush, but it will look more natural - just remember to blend out the lipstick!
Olive Oil is like vaseline, very versatile. Olive oil is a natural makeup remover, and applying it to your skin will moisturize and soften your skin. It can also be used as a hair conditioner.

Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder Review
Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder is a powder foundation that can also be used as setting power although it's not translucent powder, which I normally use to set my concealer and foundation.
I can't say that I don't like it, but I prefer using translucent powder like I said before, so when i use this powder I don't apply liquid foundation, I just use some concealer and this powder over it.
Sometimes I found that it made my skin a bit dry, like you could see the skin flaking off. :(
It doesn't look very cakey- or maybe that's just because I don;t use foundation-maybe- but I do prefer to use translucent powder under my eyes, because this doesn;t make your under eyes look a bit cakey.
Black Swan
I know, I know, this isn't a review/tutorial or anything beauty/fashion related...well...it is... kinda..
You see, today i went and saw Black Swan, and OMG it was amazing!! OK, it was a kind of thriller movie...I suppose, and it was a 15. So.. you know... But the actual movie was really good, like the makeup and costumes were so beautiful, and they looked really amazing.
I think Natalie Portman was just so amazing as Nina (sorry i keep using the word amazing, I can't think of any other words to use), and she looks so pretty as Nina as well.
You should definetly go see it, if you have HOORAY!! but of you have't, GO SEE IT NOW!!

Foods for healthy, glowing skin
Do you want healthy glowing skin?
Yes. How to get healthy skin? It isn't just about your skin care routine, and what creams you use. You can be slathering of expensive serums and creams, but if you are still eating sugary and fast foods regularly, they're not going to do much for your skin.
Cutting fatty and fast foods will benefit your skin greatly, but eating lots of fruits and vegtables, drinking lots of water will not only keep your skin looking radiant, it can also benefit your health. Being healthy on the inside is just as inportant as bein g healthy on he outside. Here are some foods that are not only good for your health, but for your skin as well.
These are foods that i eat/drink on a regular basis, so I'm not going to put some random and rare food on the list that are great for your skin bu no one has heard of them and no one can find when hey go to the supermarket to buy them . I'm not going to include water because well... everyone drinks water, and nearly EVRYONE knows that its good fro your skin, if you didn't, then I'm telling you now. :)
Tomatoes and cherry tomatoes
Tomatoes are high in lycopene, a antioxidant. Antioxidants are good for your skin because they help combat free-radicals - caused by the sun and can lead to wrinkles and fine lines. Lycopene also protects your skin from UV damage. No, that doesn't mean you can just eat loads of tomatoes and not apply sunscreen. :)
Green Tea
Green tea is high in catechin antioxidants, which help fight free-radicals. Green tea also fights damage caused by UV rays. Scientist have also found out that green tea can prevent and lower the risk of skin cancer, drinking lemon with it boosts its anti cancer properties. Green tea can also rejeuvenate skin cells, keeping your skin looking radiant. Green tea has a powerful anti-redness effect, so if your skin is sensitive or prone to redness, green tea will help soothe the redness.
Oranges
Oranges are a great source of Vitamin C (anti-oxidants), one orange (130g) supplies nearly 100% of your daily Vitamin C intake. The albedo (white thing between the peel and actual orange) provides lots of fibre and anti-cancer agents. Oranges are a good source of vitamin A, the B vitamins, amino acids, beta-carotene, pectin, potassium, folic acid, calcium, iodine, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, manganese, chlorine and iron.
Cranberries and Cranberry Juice
Cranberries are high in Vitamin C, which help boost collagen and keep your skin looking young. Cranberries also improve blood circulation, which will help prevent cholestrol. Cranberries can also improve your eyesight, due to anti-oxidant properties, the flavonoids help to repair nervous cells in the retina, therefore helping your night vision. It can anti-cancer properties, as there're high amounts of clorogenic acid.
Blueberries
Blueberries are rich in anti-oxidants (agian!!) -considered by many to contain the higest amount of anti-oxidants- because the dye that makes the blueberries blue contain powerful anti-oxidants. They are also an excellent source of soluble and insoluble fibre, vitamnin C, mangenese, vitamin E and riboflavin.

The Natural Collection Review
At Boots, there is a really cheap brand of makeup called 'the Natural Collection'. It's a brand by Boots so it's really cheap-£1.99 or under. When I was at Boots, the was on sale, 3 for 5 £5. Yes. 3 for £5. So I went ahead at bought some: Actually, I bought A LOT:
- The Natural Collection Loose Powder in Neutral
- The Natural Collection Coloured Foundation in Sand
- The Natural Collection Duo Eyeshadow - Mink and Sable
- The Natural Collection Duo Eyeshadow - Starlight and Midnight
- The Natural Collection Concealer in Light
- The Natural Collection Mono Eyeshadow Opal White
- The Natural Collection Lipgloss - Sherbert Fizz
- The Natural Collection Liquid Eyeliner Black
- The Natural Collection Nail Varnish in Topaz
I wouldn't EVER go back and buy any more makeup from there agian, because...look at the price! You can't get anything good quality for £1.99!!!
The foundation comes in a transparent squeesable bottle, and it is not a good foundation!! It doesn't stay on very long, in fact, you can wash it off with water, you can just see the color dripping off into the water. Same goes for the concealer. It doesn;t conceal, and is very hard to blend because it dries really fast, and the shades are very strange. I found that after I used it, the places where I put the concealer would flake off, and my skin would become really dry and flaky. It also doesn;t conceal very well. :(
Translucent powder is O.K. Its fine to use it once in a while, but I found that the texture of my skin would become really uneven, and it stopped when I stopped using the powder.
The eyshadow is meh. I use the black shadow the most, to line my eyes sometimes, I rarely use the other colors.
The lipgloss disappears literally 10 seconds after applying!! And I found that the smell went really werd after a while...
I have used A LOT of the nail varnish, but you will need to apply 2/3 coats to get a solid color.
